FAQ

How much will a website cost me?

All my rates are based on flat fees. Those fees have been calculated carefully to include layouts, mock ups, coding uploads, testing, consultations and much more. The more pages a website includes, the more work is involved. Request a free quote now!

How long does it take to design a website?

It usually takes less than two weeks to design and develop a website, but can take longer depending on the complexity of the website.

Do we need to have a meeting in connection with the website design?

No, a meeting isn’t necessary as my websites are completed through e-mail and telephone. You will get access to your own account were you can view the progress of your website as I liaise with you throughout the web design process.

When you ask for text and images for my website what format should they be in?

I always recommend that you send everything in electronic format via email. If this is not possible don’t worry as I can help you convert documents into electronic format for a small price. All text normally in word format, images in gif, jpg, png etc. I can create custom graphics for you, re-size images, add watermarks and so forth.

What if I do not like the design?

I will not start working on coding the website until you have signed off on the design. So you have all the control over the look and feel of your website, while I guide you through achieving the most professional and user-friendly appeal.

How do I update my website?

I can implement a Content Management System (CMS) for you, or you can choose my website maintenance service. While a CMS allows you to update your website yourself, you will need to be somewhat technical to understand it. If you don’t want to worry about this, I will be happy to update your website as needed for a small fee.

Can I add more pages onto my website once it’s finished?

Yes, you can add as many pages as you like. I only charge a flat rate per page and an update fee to add them on to your site.

Do you redesign existing websites?

Yes, I can give you a full consultation while we are looking at your site online and give you a quote for re-designing it. I can retain your company’s corporate style or give you a complete new image.

So should your business have a website, even if your business is small and sells products or services you don’t think can be sold online?

Yes, if you have a business, you should have a website. Nowadays, there’s very little that can’t be sold over the internet. More than 20 million shoppers are now online, purchasing everything from books to computers to cars to real estate to jet airplanes to natural gas to you name it. If you can imagine it, someone will figure out how to sell it online.

That said, it’s not enough that you just have a website. You must have a professional-looking site if you want to be taken seriously. Since many consumers now search for information online prior to making a purchase at a local store, your site may be the first chance you have at making a good impression on a potential buyer. If your site looks like it was designed by an amateur, your chance at making a good first impression will be lost.

Your website is an important part of your business. Make sure you treat it as such.
